At John R. Ray & Sons, we’re not a call center. We’re a customer service oriented agency focused on your needs from the time we offer you coverage to the time that you need to use it when you have a claim to file. We ask questions to make sure you’re covered from “a” to “z”. We ensure you are getting quality coverage at a reasonable price. We know you have a choice when it comes to an independent agent and we continually show our customers why we’re the best choice.
We’ve been continually serving the Houston area since our agency was founded in 1948. That’s over 60 years of doing business right in your backyard. In that time, we’ve seen great changes in the insurance industry and we’ve kept up with them. We offer our customers quality choices from top rated reputable national carriers, both in personal and commercial lines of insurance.
A.M. Best, according to their site, “is a full service credit rating organization dedicated to serving the insurance industry”. In short, they tell you which companies are more financially stable than others. This type of data is important because it assesses how much in reserves a company has to pay out claims. We constantly monitor the ratings of the companies that we represent and we offer only those that are highly rated to our clients.
We ensure that our staff maintains their required yearly training as mandated by the Texas Department of Insurance. Not only that but most of our staff have earned insurance specific designations, such as Chartered Property Casualty Underwriters (CPCU), Certified Insurance Service Representative (CISR), and Accredited Customer Service Representative (ACSR). These designations required training and testing beyond what is required by the state so that we may stay informed of industry changes and standards for the benefit of our customers.
